The Merbein Historian
Merbein Historian remains the flagship publication of the Society with 150 copies of the 16 page booklet going to local and Australia-wide destinations. The first Quarterly edition of the 'Merbein Historian', initially known as 'The Newsletter', was an initiative of Bronwyn Zrna, and was first published in September 2000.

Annual Posted Subscription = $30 for 4 quarterly editions (includes $10.00 postage/handling).
Single cost per quarterly edition: $5.00 = $20 if picked up from the MDHS rooms.

Have you got an article/story to contribute to the Merbein Historian? Contributions from members and non-members are welcome and can be emailed to [email protected] or posted to: The Editor Box 679 Merbein Vic 3505 CLOSING DATES for contributions to the Merbein Historian: March edition 31 January June edition 30 April September edition 31 July December edition 30 October 'NOW I REMEMBER' articles Contributions to the Merbein Historian are welcome from all. They must however have a topic or story that have a local interest, focused on Merbein & District and date pre-1985. Some ideas of what the article may cover include an event, personality, sport, hobby, home, workplace, building, object & incident. Contributions need to be approximately 300 words or less and include one or two photographs. The photographs need to be relevant to the article. (These can be copied and returned or received in digital format). Take care that the article is not libellous, and if copied from another source, this, along with the name of the author (if applicable), must be acknowledged and recorded with the submitted article. Inclusions in the Merbein Historian will be at the Editor's Discretion. |
